Meet Harrisonburg’s Atul Agrawal, DMD

Originally from New York, Dr. Atul Agrawal moved to Harrisonburg and strives to make a positive impact in his community through improving smiles. With several years of experience in the dental world, his favorite thing about his job is being part of an amazing team that’s both caring and supportive for both him and our patients.

Dr. Agrawal first attended school in Nepal before studying at the University of California San Francisco for his dental doctorate. He later practiced dentistry in Milwaukee for almost three years before moving to New York and then later to Virginia. He has undergone extensive training in various areas, such as implant placement and restoration, molar endo clerkship, osseous surgery, and crown lengthening. He’s also certified in CAD/CAM, laser dentistry, and Invisalign. Today, he remains dedicated to pursuing continuing education to expand his skills in many different topics, including both cosmetic and restorative.

Away from the office, Dr. Agrawal lives with his wife—a prosthodontist—and their daughter. The majority of his family is still in Nepal and India, and he does his best to visit them at least once a year. Other than being with loved ones, he enjoys things like traveling, cooking, swimming, volleyball, board games, and learning different languages. A fun fact about him is that he can speak five languages!
