Meet Harrisonburg's Mario DeNicola, DDS

Dr. DeNicola is originally from Rochester, NY. He looks forward to helping patients here in Harrisonburg and surrounding areas achieve the smiles of their dreams! After achieving his undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University, he went on to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where he first met Dr. Khanna. He then underwent a General Practice Residency at Carilion Clinic Dental Care in Roanoke, where he learned a great deal about not only oral surgery, but the vital connection between oral health and systemic health. It was here that he and Dr. Khanna fell in love with the area and knew that they would one day relocate to Virginia! Today, he has completed over 300 hours of AGD-approved continuing education courses and is an Invisalign Preferred Provider as well.

Dr. DeNicola loves seeing immediate improvement in his patients’ oral health and overall wellbeing. What he enjoys most about his job is being able to help people look good and feel good about their smiles, causing their self-esteem to soar as a result!

He is currently a member of the following associations:

Dr. DeNicola is very close with his parents and his younger sister. Outside of the office, his hobbies include playing basketball and tennis, watching Penn State Football, being outdoors, hiking, cycling, and scuba diving. In the past, he and Dr. Khanna have climbed a 14,000 foot mountain! They’ve also taken introductory flying lessons together. For two years, he actually worked doing research at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Silver Spring, MD.
