Dr. Mario DeNicola

A native of Rochester, NY, he attended Pennsylvania State University for his undergraduate degree before pursuing a Doctor of Dental Surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. There, he met Dr. Khanna, whom he would later marry.

Once finished with his dental degree, he pursued a General Practice Residency at Carilion Clinic Dental Care in Roanoke, VA. There, he honed and expanded his skills and knowledge to include advanced training in oral surgery. This led to a more in-depth look at how a person’s oral and systemic health are connected.

Since his time in school, Dr. DeNicola has completed more than 300 hours of ADG-approved continuing education courses. He is also an Invisalign Preferred Provider and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Shenandoah Valley Dental Association.

Outside of the dental office, Dr. DeNicola enjoys spending his time with family, playing basketball and tennis, watching football (Go Penn State!), hiking, cycling, and scuba diving. He and Dr. Khanna have been known to climb a 14,000-foot mountain and take flying lessons.

Alongside her husband and colleague, Dr. DeNicola, Dr. Khanna finds it rewarding to help patients take control of their oral health and see the beauty that comes from a healthy smile.

Choosing to become a dentist near McGaheysville began at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she achieved her undergraduate and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. After graduation, she completed her General Practice Residency at Carilion Clinic Dental Care, focusing her time and effort on caring for patients receiving radiation, joint replacement, and other similar systemic conditions.

Her time spent in her residency allowed her to work with both adults and children with various health backgrounds, and since then, she has completed 225 ADG-approved continuing education courses.
